I like to try new things and subscription boxes have been my latest thing to try. There’s so many of them out there, that as a consumer it would be very hard to decide on just one since they all offer so many delicious options. The thing I like most about the food subscription boxes is that you can try meals you’ve never had before, with all the ingredients delivered right to your door. This is my unboxing and review of three meals I received using Blue Apron’s Subscription Box.
The first meal we tried was Fontina-Stuffed Pork Chops with Potatoes & Pizzaiola Sauce. Usually, I’m the one in the kitchen doing all the cooking, but to my surprise, my wonderful husband had this made for us in about 30 minutes. I couldn’t wait to dig in because it smelled absolutely delicious, even better was that it was so tasty, hands down one of the best meals I’ve had from the subscription box meals I’ve tried.
The second meal we tried was the Seared Salmon & Lemon Labneh with Freekeh, Kale & Dates. I wasn’t personally a fan of the Freekeh, it has a texture similar to oatmeal. Since I’m pretty big on textures, I could see having this meal again without it. The salmon was delicious and I especially liked the Labneh cheese on top, as it was a wonderful accent of flavors.
The third meal we tried was Chicken Under a Brick and hands down was my favorite. This simple recipe was incredibly easy to make and I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to duplicate it with our own store bought supplies. My husband cooked all of these meals to my happy surprise and I am satisfied with them all.
